HEADS UP FROM TAILS

Posted on: November 30th, 2012 by Heidi No Comments

Tails Magazine’s Holiday Gift Guide is out —and calls The Original Dog Tarot one of its favorite holiday gifts. Thanks for the heads-up, Tails. We’re wagging.

Starting in 2013, Tails is going almost entirely digital. The print edition will only appear in Tails’  flagship city of Chicago. So when the new year comes — keep up with Tails online. The magazine is a labor of love, and benefits so many animals in need.

DOGS IN THE CITY

Posted on: November 28th, 2012 by Heidi No Comments

CityDog Magazine, which celebrates urban canines in pooch-loving western U.S. communities like Seattle, Portland, and San Francisco, has called out The Original Dog Tarot in its Bark Of The Town feature.

“Entertaining…affectionately written… a great stocking stuffer for dog lovers.”

Thank you so much, CityDog.

We especially enjoyed reading about the deluxe digs you discovered in dog-friendly luxury hotels in Ashland, Oregon and Denver, and the great weekend pup-and-owner getaway on the Washington Coast. We’re packing right now, and taking you with us on the road.

A BIG WOOF FROM MODERN DOG MAGAZINE

Posted on: November 26th, 2012 by Heidi No Comments

Here’s something to bark about! The always-stylish Modern Dog Magazine has named The Original Dog Tarot one of its Great Gifts for Dog Lovers,  both online and in the new print issue– just out on newsstands. Modern Dog prides itself on bringing readers news of the latest and greatest happenings and trends in the dog world, and celebrating the unbreakable bond between contemporary canines and their humans. We are so proud to be included in a magazine that offers so much inspiration, great advice, fun, and does it all with such pzazz.

We also have a real soft spot for features on pet-loving celebrities.  Like this interview with Carrie Underwood. Here she is on the cover with Ace, one of her two dogs.

And we are so very grateful to Modern Dog for its donation programs and charitable events that give so much back to the dog world. Bark On, Modern Dog!

Our friends at Blue Eagle Metaphysical Emporium have invited us to sign our deck at their wonderful shop on Saturday, November 10, between noon and 2pm. Blue Eagle also hosts a Tarot Circle every Saturday from 10:30 to 12:30 and we’re looking forward to crossing paths with the tarot enthusiasts who come to the ongoing group. Come see us at Blue Eagle, 2422 Juan Tabo Blvd., N.E., Albuquerque, 505-298-3682. Our unseasonably balmy weather is supposed to turn really chilly this weekend so bundle up and come in from the cold at Blue Eagle.

A SHOUT OUT FROM THE DOG WHISPERER!

Posted on: November 7th, 2012 by Heidi No Comments

When Dog Whisperer Cesar Millan says “Stay!” does any self-respecting pooch argue? I don’t think so.  So we’re staying exactly where the supreme pack leader’s magazine says we belong: in the “great holiday gift” section of  the latest issue of Cesar’s Way Magazine.

Cesar's Way Holiday Gift 2012

The December 2012 issue is now on newsstands and in mailboxes of savvy alphas everywhere. Thank you, editors of Cesar’s Way.  Your whispering is our command.

A BITE FROM THE BARK!

Posted on: November 1st, 2012 by Heidi No Comments

Wow! Look what we found today when we walked outside to our mailbox.

A thousand thanks to the editors of THE BARK. What a thrill to be mentioned in your Winter 2012 issue, to be within howling distance of  Patricia McConnell, writing about what it takes to be a therapy dog; Barbara Smuts, on life with multiple dogs; Jane Brackman on DNA tests and genetic secrets; Sheila Pell, on miraculous bone regeneration;  Kim Kavin, on fostering rescue dogs; Lee Harrington, on help for a loveable chow hound; Kimberly Wang on “Dog Stalking” around the globe.  We are so proud to be included in your pack. It’s a fantastic issue, on newsstands very, very soon.
